Hey folks! June is coming to a close and while the weather foiled 2 of 3 rides this month, we are happy that we were able to ride for Pride at the Barre Pride festival again this year. Now that June is coming to a close, we are looking toward July and hoping for all good weather days (or at least no major rain)!
July will feature at least two rides (we will work in rain dates so we can still have a chance to ride together should it rain out the original ride date). Keep your eyes on the calendar, socials, and the website for all the ride descriptions and any that we add in the next couple of weeks!
First up, a mid-week afternoon ride at Millstone Trails! Wednesday, July 1, we’ll head up to Millstone Trails in Barre for an hour and a half (or maybe two?) of riding around some of the most fun (according to ride leader Kris) trails in the town forest section of Millstone. This ride will feature some high beginner/intermediate trails – what that means is that the trails will be rocky and rooty, but not highly technical – though there will be some fun optional technical features to test out along the way (we can even stop at a few of the most fun ones and try them a couple times). The pace of the ride will still be chill – much like our other rides, the main difference being the slightly more challenging terrain than some of our beginner friendly rides and fewer breaks. This might not be the best fit ride if you are newer to mountain biking and haven’t had the opportunity to develop your skills yet.
Please reach out if you have any questions! prideridesvt@gmail.com.
More details to come, but the next weekend group mountain bike ride is scheduled for July 18th at Cady Hill trails in Stowe and we’ve got a super exciting new addition coming in August!
