May Schedule and Summer Preview!

Posted on April 26, 2026

Join us for our upcoming May rides!
May 1st, we are joining Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA) and Fellowship of the Wheel (FOTW) for their ‘rip and sip’ event at Saxon Hill trails in Essex, VT.
Come out and join us for a couple of mountain bike loops around various trails at Saxon! We’ll be leading rides, each about 30 minutes long, both loops will be pretty chill – Saxon is a beginner friendly system and what we will ride will feature only a little climbing, a few wide bridges, and mostly smooth single track terrain. First ride will be at 5pm and the second at 5:45pm! You can renew your VMBA membership, talk with the folks from Bespoke bikes (including our ride leader, Rowan!), chat and ride with VMBA ambassadors and Pride Ride leaders, and even head over to Firebird Cafe for a little after event social.

May 2nd will be our season kickoff party! Down at Vermont Bicycle Shop in Barre from 2-4PM, we’ll have a table set up with all the information about our organization, the ride leaders, and our upcoming rides and events. At 4PM, we’ll be taking over the Vermont Bicycle Clubs Pizza ride of the month! This is a social ride that will be about 30 minutes in length around some fun little streets in Barre and then culminating with pizza, of course! This is a great opportunity to come out to ask questions, chat with Pride Rides leadership and get to know us, our resources, and our ride selection a little more! Plus you’ll get to experience the Vermont Bicycle Club Pizza ride and you might just want to find yourself at more of those in the future!

May 30th we’ll be hosting a gravel ride. The route is still TBD, but will likely be a rider leader favorite in the Middlesex or Calais area. Stay tuned for more details about this ride. We’ll be posting them soon.

The rest of the flyers give you a few rides that are scheduled in already to give you something to look forward to! More rides will be added along the way (in fact we already have added rides at the Queer Arts Festival again this year and are working on a couple of mountain bike rides in new zones, including one in southern VT!) – our ride leaders are still planning for the summer – so keep an eye out here and on the socials for additional rides and events. Let us know if you have any questions about any of the rides!

Please feel free to reach out via email with any questions you have about the May events or any future events – you can find us at prideridesvt@gmail.com
